TECHNION COMPLEX FLUIDS LAB

About us
Welcome to the home page of the Technion Complex Fluids Lab, located at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
We are a curiosity-driven lab with core expertise in fluid mechanics and transport phenomena. In particular, we study the fluid mechanics of non-Newtonian fluids, complex flows, and microscale transport processes through a combination of theoretical modeling, numerical simulations, and comparison with experiments. We are equally interested in understanding fundamental physical mechanisms underlying the flow of complex and non-Newtonian fluids, and in leveraging these insights to improve existing applications and enable new technologies based on complex fluid systems. Our recent contributions are in the areas of pressure-driven viscoelastic and shear-thinning fluid flows in confined and non-uniform geometries, microscale fluid-structure interactions involving complex fluids, and diffusioosmotic flows in soft microfluidic configurations.

This website provides a glimpse into our past and current work, but we believe the most exciting discoveries are still ahead. We love new challenges and enjoy collaborating with curious and creative people. You are always welcome to visit us, whether in person or online—feel free to reach out anytime!
